Secret Santa generator
Add everyone's names, keep couples apart if you like, and send each person a private one-time link to their match.

How it works
- Type the names of everyone taking part.
- Optional: list pairs who shouldn't get each other, such as couples or roommates.
- Add a budget and a date for the gift exchange.
- Select Draw names, then send each person their own private link.
Each link reveals only that person's match, and only once: after it's been opened, the link just says it was already revealed. So the organizer can join in without knowing who has whom, and nobody can peek twice. Nobody gets their own name.
Links expire 30 days after the gift exchange date (or 90 days after the draw if you don't set one), and the draw is then deleted. Drawing again on the same device cancels the earlier links.
Secret Santa tips
- Set a clear budget. $20 to $30 is a common office range.
- Share a wish list. A short list of likes and dislikes saves a lot of guessing.
- Pick the date early and allow time for online orders to arrive.
Questions people ask
Can the organizer take part?
Yes. Send everyone their link, including yourself, and don't open the others. Each link can be revealed only once, so opening someone else's would use it up.
What happens if someone opens their link twice?
The second time, the link says it has already been revealed and doesn't show the name, so the match stays secret. Write the name down or take a screenshot when you reveal it.
How long do the links last?
Until they're revealed, and at most 30 days after the gift exchange date (or 90 days after the draw if there's no date).
Someone lost their match. What now?
Draw the names again on the same device and send the new links. The old links stop working.
Can I stop couples drawing each other?
Yes. Add each pair on its own line in the pairs box, like: Alex, Sam.
Do people need to sign up or give an email?
No. You send the links however you like: email, text, WhatsApp or Slack.
